戒瘾

第一次与强敌交手，原来戒瘾并不容易啊！！对电影，小说，和连续剧的沉溺开始于中学的时候至到现在。对于小说，我已经免疫了但其他的就真的还在奋斗当中。Recently, i take the initiative to tackle down another addiction of mine, becoz it steal too much time from me. I can basically spend the whole afternoon to watch drama without realising the time should be used wisely for other beneficial thing. Well here is the tip, when u try to control urself like limit one episode per day but failed, just delete the player that can open the file becoz now i find it really helpful... tough this act cant teach us about self control, but i think soon or later, u dun feel the urge to watch because u have develop good habit like reading, writing.

Ephesians 5: 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. How true it is, count the time in our life, how much u have spent in doing God work or carry out our responsibility as a human (to work or study ), not much isn't it... Our eye just so easy to fix on the things that drawn us away from God so what can we do??? Pray harder to ask God to help us to overcome our weaknesses, and dont let ourselves open up ourselves to temptation that we cant handle. 

James 4 : 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. RESIST the devil, and he will flee from you.

A story to share

Medicine and pain
There is a cut, there is a girl who apply the medicine on the cut; she hesitate at the first place as she does not want to feel the unpleasantness and pain. However, later when the cut become more severe where more infection come in, more pus coming out, the father of the girl  apply the medicine regardless the pain that will come to the daughter. The cut healed eventually and the girl feel thankful to the father.

This is the same concept in our spiritual life. We are all sinners at the first place, we will never come willingly to God. Because although we know we are broken in our soul, we do not want the only cure which is to come to God. We do not want to bear the pain, the persecution to come, the rejection of the world and even to admit our sin and unworthiness. Yet our heavenly Father apply the medicine in our broken soul, give us His only begotten son Our Lord Jesus Christ just in order to clear our sins. John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. It is  God grace that we are able to be saved and we should be thankful all the time.
Luke 15: 4-5

4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

Rejoice and Cheer up Christian!!! Because not even one of the sheep that God had chosen will be lost. Jesus Christ is the great Sheppard and He will find those that gone astray in sin and bring him back safely .

Faith in Christ OR Faith about Christ??

Faith about Christ = only have head knowledge about Christ but the power of Christ is not shown in the life.
Faith in Christ = Christ is fully shown in the lives... have holy desire for not sinning and doing God's works.

Reminder to myself

Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come out, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.

This verse indeed had catch my attention long time ago. We should be conscious and beware!! Don't ever think that we are too young or there are a lot of time in the future, and then MAYBE i can commit my life to God in the future or other. Yes, i said it is a MAYBE and not SHALL because we will never know what will happen in future. Besides, the moment we want to delay to commit our life to God, isn't it is a moment we ought to examine our heart?? Why need to wait at the first place?? What is restraining us, isn't the work of Satan, the world?? Where we place God in our life?? Many youngsters nowadays treat God very lightly. They act as if they are the master of themselves. They pray to God without believing  that God will answer and become angry when they think their prayers are not answered. They commit to God only when they think they are in need and they are in troubles. They seldom take God's Words seriously. They read the bible when they feel want to but at the same time did not take heed for the message that God want to give to them. How often we just read the bible and without understand it?? For me, it used to be like a habit, starting from verse 1 in one chapter and to the last verse, then "hooray , i have done my part", then the bible is closed. Yet, later i found out it very meaningless by doing it, i cant hear what God want to speak to me through His words, i am basically closing my ears with my 'stubborn' hands while God is speaking. Do not wait until we are old, when all our senses are weaken and we are no more able to serve God as we want to. Therefor pray to God constantly to give us the true faith and listen carefully to what God want to tell us.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of  God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,which is your reasonable service.
